1:1 Online Learning

My 1:1 sessions are mainly delivered online, using the excellent Zoom video platform. I use a wide range of high quality online interactive teaching materials, ensuring that all key skills are addressed. Many students prefer this format for the added convenience of joining from their own home at the click of a button and also enjoying the many interactive possibilities this technology allows. Students can choose between 40 or 55 minute sessions.

Online Group Courses

Do you enjoy interacting in a class with other students? Some people prefer a group dynamic without an intensive 1-1 focus and being able to discuss with more people. The group class format via Zoom has become a very popular method of learning in recent times, requiring very little technical know-how and just a computer with a camera and microphone. I offer Beginner - Advanced levels for French and Spanish in small groups.

Group Face-Face Learning Courses

I offer sociable, structured learning courses in Spanish, usually for 10 or 12 consecutive weeks, at key academic term times September/ January and April from Beginner (A1 level) to Higher Intermediate (B2 level.) These tried and tested courses, in their 5th year of maturity as part of my core offering, promise fast progress for all participants and a dynamic, fun, ineractive experience. Taught in small groups, participants have plenty of opportunity to practice in the class and enjoy a friendly, relaxed environment, making amazing progress! GCSE / A Level Exam Prep

I have helped many teeangers achieve better than expected grades in their exams. I am well versed in the current GCSE and A-Level syllabus and exam requirements. Patient and motivating in my teaching style, I understand the huge pressure of these exams and I help students progress with confidence and the right knowledge to obtain the best grades possible. Available online via Zoom platform or face-face in my locality.

After the disruption to schooling caused by the Pandemic, many students at this age could benefit from extra 1:1 support to ensure they get the grades they deserve. I would be very happy to support more young people.

Young Learners

It's a great idea to start learning a language from a young age as children have a high language acquisition ability, picking up words quickly and easily. They also tend to be less afraid of making mistakes than older students. I have worked with many young learners in various language schools, teaching in a way that is fun, creative and effective. DBS checked and with great reviews, I take on students as young as 8 years old. I offer 30 minutes 'bite-sized', as well as my standard 40/55mins sessions. I can open your child's eyes to a new world with the discovery of a new language and they will have fun along the way!

For Business

I provide group French/Spanish sessions tailored to business employees across all sectors. Sessions are offered in person, online, by phone or a combination of methods. I am happy to work with HR professionals to devise courses to meet employees' specific needs.

Learning Through Creativity

Do you enjoy art, music or cooking? Why not learn French or Spanish whilst practising one of your creative interests?

This kind of 'immersion learning' motivates a lot of students and it's a fun, hands-on way of learning, as if you were indeed living in a French/Spanish speaking country. Available 1:1 or in a group situation.

English as a Foreign Language

I am a TEFL qualified English teacher. After training in various schools in Mexico and Geneva and online with a major Chinese language school and also working on Preply tutoring Platform, I have taught many students in the UK and abroad online. I have an in-depth knowledge of the technical complexities of English and provide clear instruction, teaching in a dynamic and engaging way.

I also offer a high quality proof reading service, from full reconstructive writing, to correcting errors or polishing, making writing more natural in its tone and flow.

Translation

As a Cambridge University Languages Degree Graduate, with a 2:1 in French and Spanish, including specialist Translation Studies, and an Affiliate Member of the Institute of Translating and Interpreting, I provide highly proficient translations of Spanish/French into my native English in a range of writing styles and various contexts. With a 16 year career in brand management, I specialise in translations for business, marketing, leisure, hospitality and tourism. I provide professional and affordable work.
